On today's 1-year anniversary of his death, Prince’s Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, is holding a 4-day celebration of his life called Celebration 2017. It kicked off yesterday & goes through Sunday. The celebration will feature performances, speakers, panel discussions & guided tours.
The celebration will make history by bringing to Paisley Park musicians crossing all four decades of Prince’s performing career, from Morris Day & The Time, The Revolution, New Power Generation and 3RDEYEGIRL. Some of the weekend's special guest speakers for the celebration include Prince band members Wendy & Lisa, Bobby Z, Mark Brown, Matt Fink & many more.
I checked out the Paisley Park website & fans from all over the world are paying a pretty penny to participate in the celebration. General admission passes are $549, plus an additional $30 in service & facility fees. And the VIP passes were $999, plus an additional $45 in service & facility fees and they are sold out.
