Rolling Stone is currently having to defend this magazine cover (above) due to negative online comments and stores refusing to sell this issue. As the day as gone on, negative comments have spilled over from just being contained on the Rolling Stone's Facebook page to having it's own hashtag on Twitter (#BoycottRollingStones) and being reported on by every major news station.

In a statement, Rolling Stone said "The cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage of the most important political and cultural issues of our day."

I want to know what you think. Did Rolling Stone take it too far by giving the Boston Bomber the celebrity treatment? Were they just doing their job and reporting the news stories people want to read?
