I'm really excited to hear new music from Birdy! She's released two songs from her upcoming album, Fire Within.
Her debut album, Birdy, was mostly a collection of covers that were rearranged to showcase her incredible voice and ability to convey various emotions. Incredibly, she was only 15 when the album came out. The songs on the album included her take on "1901" by Phoenix, "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor, "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous, as well as the popular "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver, and my favorite, "Shelter" by The xx. That's quite an eclectic mix of songs.
Birdy also collaborated with Mumford and Sons on the Grammy nominated song, "Learn Me Right" from the Brave soundtrack, as well as "Just a Game" for The Hunger Games soundtrack.
For her second album, Birdy has been writing original songs, including the lead single, "Wings."
Birdy also released the lyric video for another brand new song, "All You Never Say."
What do you think of Birdy and her music?
