Costco Memberships Are Going Digital!
You read right...Costco memberships are officially going digital. You will no longer need the physical membership card to enter the store or to check out. Now, instead of using the little plastic Costco membership cards that you've used for years, you'll now pay by pulling up your membership from the Costco app.
You'll need to download the new digital membership "card" onto the Costco app. Tech-savvy customers will love that Costco's finally fully crossing over into the digital age. And if you're always forgetting your card at home, all you have to do now to use your membership is to open the app on your phone.
However, Costco is advising you to not get rid of your membership card altogether...You won't initially be able to use your digital membership to get that discounted Costco gas, so you'll still need your membership card for that.
