A teacher's Facebook post about helping out a hungry student got the attention of Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.
Brooke Goins teaches at Jacksboro Elementary School in Tennessee. She posted an emotional video on social media earlier this month about having to buy a student some food. She said, "Today I cried for a child, a child who so innocently talked about food and the lack of it."
The situation got Goins and the school to start a food pantry. Lopez and Rodriguez heard about the story and decided to help.
The couple has an ownership stake in Tiller And Hatch. They make healthy, prepackaged meals. Lopez and Rodriguez pledged a year worth of food for the school pantry. They made a FaceTime call to the school to announce the donation.
