Uptick In Cases Of Eyelash Lice Prompt Doctor Warnings!

Doctors are warning people who wear eyelash extensions to make sure they are cleaned regularly.

Doctors have noticed an increase in lash lice or Demodex. It impacts people who do not wash their eyelash extensions enough.

This type of lice is smaller than head lice or body lice. This type of lice can jump and be transferred.

Symptoms include redness, itchiness and inflammation. Treatments include topical ointments, tea tree oil and proper hygiene.

It is not advised to stop wearing eyelash extensions, however to be mindful in making sure you clean the lash extensions on a regular basis to avoid lash lice or Demodex.
