David Beckham didn't put on the charm for his future wife Victoria until she was properly inspired by alcohol.
David Bechkam told the story to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
Beckham said he spoke to Victoria for the first time after she came to see him play soccer.
He recalled, "She'd had a couple of drinks so I decided why not, I'll try and get her number. We talked for about an hour in the players' lounge. She actually got the train up that day so she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have."
