Meghan Markle gave a virtual commencement speech at her LA High School, Immaculate Heart High and spoke out about the Los Angeles protests and her own experience witnessing the 1992 riots and her expectations for the graduating class of 2020.
She encourages them to join the fight for an end to racial injustice. In her speech, Markle stated:
"You get to be part of rebuilding, And I know sometimes people say how many times do we need to rebuild? Well, you know, we are going to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild until it is rebuilt. Because when the foundation is broken, so are we."
