You're not going to want to miss the full Sturgeon Moon tonight! It's beautiful!
The moon first appeared on Sunday, August 2nd and will remain visible through Monday night. The full moon peaks during the day at 11:59 a.m. EDT on Monday, August 3rd. If you are wondering where the name "Sturgeon" comes from, it's the tradition of catching large fish in the Great Lakes.
You can make this fun! Maybe grab a few snacks, grab a blanket and watch the beautiful August Sturegon Moon. In order to make sure you don't miss it, look to the southeast.
If you miss this full moon, don't worry... you'll be able to catch The Corn Moon which will peak on September 2nd!
