Pamela Anderson Is Heading To Broadway!

From Baywatch to Broadway? YEP! Best known for her iconic role as 'C.J.' on Baywatch, numerous covers of Playboy magazine, her animal activism and oh yeah THAT video, Pamela Anderson is now headed to Broadway this April! According to the Associated Press, she'll play Roxie Hart from April 12 to June 5 at the Ambassador Theatre in the NYC. "I am inspired by the unexpected," she told the AP..."This is it, and I will not hold back anymore. I am letting go. I am ready to see what I'm capable of. For Chicago I'll be putting all my cards on the table. I am doubling down — on me."

The show's producer, Barry Weissler said..."The woman has acting chops. She certainly can dance, and her singing voice is quite good. So here we go."

Anderson has been back in the spotlight thanks to the Hulu series Pam & Tommy, that fictionalizes their whirlwind romance and details about the release of the couples infamous sex tape. Her response to it all? Look for Pam's new authorized documentary about her life, coming straight from her, coming soon to Netflix. Oh and now Broadway!

The character Roxie Hart in Chicago has been played by dozens of women since the show opened in 1996, including Melanie Griffith, Christie Brinkley, Marilu Henner, Brooke Shields, Lisa Rinna, Ashlee Simpson, Brandy Norwood, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Givens. A 2002 film version starred Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Queen Latifah and Richard Gere.
