Amazon debut a new shopping portal today that is intended for customers who receive government assistance.
"Given the tough economic climate with many facing rising costs on essential needs, we want our customers to know about all the accessible offerings available on Amazon, no matter their circumstances," said Nancy Dalton, head of community partnerships for Amazon Access.
The Amazon Access will feature SNAP EBT on Amazon, information about the Amazon Layaway program, and will spotlight discounts and coupons for essential grocery items. The reason behind creating this portal feature is to have a central spot where the services for low-income customers can be found easily in one place.
Eligible customers can also sign up for a discounted Prime membership called Prime Access. Go to ABC 7 for more information.
