Grab your swimsuit and head over to Whittier because they are opening up a new aquatic center on Saturday.
The Greater Whittier Regional Aquatic Center is opening up this weekend and will have two pools: one 50 meters by 25 yards Olympic sized pool and a 25 meter by 25 yard practice pool. There of course will be a brand new building that has changing rooms, restrooms and classrooms. According to Whittier Daily News, the center will be open year round, 6 days a week and will offer a program through the LA County Department of Parks and Recreation. Some of the programs include beginner swim lessons, water polo, water aerobics classes, free swim and lap swim hours.
The grand opening event on Saturday, October 29th, will include a short program, inaugural pool-jump in place of a ribbon cutting, free classes and pool lifeguard training. The Greater Whittier Regional Aquatic Center's grand opening is this Saturday, October 29th at 9am. Head to Whittier Daily News for more.
