Red is a a deaf two-year-old Australian cattle dog mix who will soon be learning sign language after a few unfortunate events.
No one knew Red was deaf when she was rescued and sent to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado. After she was adopted, her adopted family quickly found out about her hearing problem and decided to take her back.
However, with a generous $1,000 donation from the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation, they are paying for Red to attend sign language lessons!
Now, both Red and the special family who adopts her will learn positive reinforcement techniques and hand signals from a certified trainer. Red will be able to lead a normal, happy pup life with a family who can devote the time to taking great care of her!
