Miss District Of Columbia Kára McCullough was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night!
She beat out 50 other contestants, including runner-up Chhavi Verg of New Jersey, to win the crown.
McCullough is physical scientist at the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The 25-year-old has a degree in chemistry and concentration in radio chemistry from South Carolina State University. She also funds a science program for kids, called Science Exploration for Kids.
