A Teen Lifeguard Saved A Toddler's Life First Day On The Job

Some lifeguards could go the entire Summer season without having to put their lifesaving training to use.

Well for this 15-year old new life guard, Jack Viglianco, on his very first shift, he didn't realize that 20 minutes into his day, he would be saving someone.

Jack spotted a young child in immediate danger.

He said he heard, "Help, ah" and then he looked over and saw a 4-year-old gasping for air.

The 4-year-old was at the pool on a camp field trip when Jack sprang into action, recalling all of the training he had just learned.

He said, "I didn't think that the next day I would actually have to use those skills."
