See The Finalists From This Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Competition

posted by Sabrina Hooyman -

There was a very quirky fashion competition in New York recently. Models walked the runway wearing wedding dresses made from... TOILET PAPER!

These dresses are actually very intricate, detailed and beautiful. The winning dress had 1,500 hand-cut butterflies made by a mother of two in her spare time, winning the $10,000 first prize!

Ripley's Believe It or Not!, which exhibits winning entries every year, is donating about 20 of the top gowns to brides whose plans were shattered by the sudden bankruptcy of wedding dressmaker Alfred Angelo last week.

With #AlfredAngelo closing its 61 stores abruptly, many #brides have been left without a dress. Here at Ripley’s, we have a quirky collection of #weddingdresses made from toilet paper, and we’d like to donate to YOU! DM us, visit or email us at to learn how you can own one of these dresses! #Ripleys #ripleysodditorium #ripleysbelieveitornot #BION #talent #believeitornot #culture #travel #weddingdress #instadaily #instamood #oftd #art #wedding #alfredangelobride
