Girl Scouts Team Up With Firefighters To Help Save Pets

posted by Sabrina Hooyman -

What great teamwork!

The Girl Scouts of California Central South hosted a fundraiser to raise money to buy each fire station in their city oxygen pet masks in multiple sizes.

Kylie and Hailey sold shirts and eventually raised $2,400 to buy those pet mask kits on all 37 Bakersfield fire engines.

The firefighters have used the mask to save a puppy pulled from a burning house!

Our local Girl Scouts love their furry friends and want to make sure four-legged family members are saved during a crisis. Kern County Girl Scouts Hailey and Kylie are working to earn their Silver Award by selling t-shirts to help buy pet oxygen masks for their local fire departments. Check out their media appearance and how to support these girls in working to give back to their community:  #gosilver #girlscouts #kern23 #gogirlscouts
