She's baaack, Arianators! Ariana Grande has just released new music for the first time in what feels like forever! "No Tears Left To Cry" is the first original single that she has released since a terrorist attack killed 22 people outside her Manchester concert in May 2017.
The uplifting track is about putting any bad vibes behind her and looking toward the future. The video even features a small tribute to Manchester. Watch this and see if you can spot it!
Did you catch it? Fans were quick to notice that at the end of Grande's new video, one single worker bee (the symbol of Manchester) flies directly at the camera. No detail gets by the Arianators.
Fans praised Grande for paying tribute to the victims in a subtle yet effective way.
The song itself is very uplifting and focuses on a bright future. It features lyrics such as,
"Right now, I'm in a state of mind I wanna be in like all the time. Ain't got no tears left to cry."
According to BBC, Scooter Braun (Grande's manager) explained just how strongly she took the Manchester attack to heart.
"She felt everything - every face they announced, every name, she wore on her sleeve. Every bit of emotion because that's who she is," said Braun earlier this year.
This small tribute of the worker bee in her music video is just one more way that Grande is paying her respects.
The music video is currently #1 on YouTube's trending searches! Directed by Dave Meyers and produced by Nathan Scherrer, the video is very futuristic and has a lot of unique elements in terms of editing.
It begins with a city turned upside down and Grande looking out the window in a very elegant hallway. In a flowing dress with her long blonde braid, she begins walking up the walls as the camera continues spinning.
Grande flies from a ladder outside the building, and is then seen on top of the roof with an umbrella. Men are dancing on the side of the building as she sports thigh high boots and a short polka dot dress.
One of the most intriguing moments in the video is when Grande removes her face and has an array of other options to choose from.
The video ends with her dog Toulouse playing fetch, and then he transforms into a bee. The entire video keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.
Fans could not be more excited that Grande is back in action, and they are so proud of all the success that "No Tears Left To Cry" has had in less than 24 hours!
Queen Ari is back and better than ever. We're so ready for whatever she releases next!
