Miley Cyrus Pulls Out Of Woodstock 50 As More Acts Withdraw: Report

Glastonbury Festival 2019 - Day Five

Miley Cyrus is the latest act to ditch Woodstock 50.

The “Cattitude” star, who was expected to headline this year's music festival, has reportedly pulled out of the event, according to what “multiple sources” told Variety Tuesday (July 30). Cyrus first broke the news of her headlining gig back in March on Instagram.

"Woodstock here I come! When I’m not riding a wrecking ball, you can find me on a giant cock," she wrote at the time, along with a suggestive photo.

While Cyrus has yet to publicly announce her resignation, she wouldn’t be the first musician to pull out of the anniversary concert. Jay-Z canceled his appearance as did Dead & Company, with additional acts like The Raconteurs, The Lumineers, and The Black Keys bailing as well.

As of yet, Imagine Dragons and The Killers appear to be Woodstock 50’s sole remaining headliners. However, as Variety points out, neither act has the celebration on their list of upcoming tour dates — and their reps have yet to give comment.

Even without a lineup, as all artists were released their performance contracts after the event moved to Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, organizers are still determined to put on a show — even if it’s for one night only. At least that’s what insiders are telling the news outlet, which indicated “four or five acts” including The Zombies, have agreed to perform. Evidently, all that’s left now are budgeting negotiations.

These new developments come days after TMZ reported that organizers were supposedly turning the three-day event into a free benefit show instead, with concert-goers encouraged to donate to their favorite causes.

Woodstock 50 is expected to go on August 16-18.
