French Montana Announces Album Release Date & Gives Health Update

You can't keep French Montana down!

Despite reportedly being discharged from ICU less than a week ago, the "Writing On The Wall" rapper is already focusing on his music.

On Tuesday (December 3), the "Slide" rapper took to social media to announce that his forthcoming album, Montana, will be released this week. "CANT KEEP ME DOWN !! Been workin hard on my new album and I’m so proud to announce it’s coming THIS FRIDAY [December 6] !!!" he captioned a photo of himself doing push ups during his weeklong hospital stay.

"The music is keepin my spirit alive 🙏🏼💪🏼," French continued. "THANK YOU to my fans, love y’all for ridin with me thru this journey."

As fans know, the "Unforgettable" rapper, born Karim Kharbouch, was rushed to the hospital late last month after experiencing intense stomach pain, nausea, and an elevated heart rate.

Cops reportedly responded to an alleged robbery at a home in Calabasas where French was present. However, when they arrived they found no evidence of a robbery and instead noticed that French was having medical issues so they called the paramedics, TMZ reported. French was then transported to a local hospital where he remained until being reportedly discharged on Thanksgiving day.

Last week, the 35-year-old rapper updated fans on his condition via Twitter, revealing that he'd been in ICU for nearly a week. "6 days in icu 🙏," French captioned a video he took from his hospital bed. At one point in the video, it showed a dry erase board in the room, which according to TMZ, featured the words "manage pain" on it. No other details were shared in the clip.
