Dream Street's Chris Trousdale Dies at 34 From Coronavirus Complications

Dream Street's Chris Trousdale has passed away from coronavirus at 34 years old.

According to TMZ, a family member confirmed the sad news that the former boy band star passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd at a hospital in Burbank, California due to complications from COVID-19.

Additionally, a comment from last Instagram post read, "Chris left this earth at 8:44 pm yesterday after a horrible battle with acute strep infection that shut down his body. Chris was in a coma, on life support when he passed. The outpouring of love has been tremendous. I am comforted by the hundreds of kind words and wishes. Chris was one of a kind and always the brightest light on any stage he stood on. Thank you for the love you gave him. He felt it to the end and I’m sure still as he watches from heaven."

Formed in 1999, Dream Street included Trousdale, along with Jesse McCartney, Greg Raposo, Matt Ballinger and Frankie Galasso. The band released two full-length albums, Dream Street (2001) and The Biggest Fan (2002), and finally disbanded in 2002.

After Dream Street broke up, Chris went on to focus on a solo career, and appeared in a few movies, in addition to a few TV shows including Disney's Shake It Up (which starred Zendaya and Bella Thorne) and soap opera Days of Our Lives. He also auditioned for The Voice in 2012, but did not make it past the blind auditions, but since then has recorded some of his own solo music.

And before joining Dream Street, Trousdale appeared on Broadway as young as eight years old in shows including touring with the production of Les Misérables, in addition to plays like Beauty and the Beast and The Wizard of Oz.
