You know how Disney announced that they're launching their own version of Netflix?
Well, the service isn't just going to feature content that's already aired on the Disney Channel or movies that premiered in theaters.
It will also be making original content for its subscribers including a brand new High School Musical series!
According to a report by Deadline, along with the new High School Musical series, the new Disney streaming service will produce other original TV series, including a Star Wars series, a new original Marvel series, and a Monsters Inc. animated series.
Disney also intends to produce four to five original movies a year, including a brand new Star Wars trilogy written and directed by Star Wars: The Last Jedidirector, Rian Johnson.
Disney's entertainment streaming service is expected to launch by the end of 2019 and the good news is that Disney's chairman-CEO Bob Iger says he plans for the service's pricetag to be “substantially below” Netflix’s $10.99 a month because the service will have less content overall.
The real question is how will the HSM series tie into the HSM movie series?!
