A video went viral after a man attacked a McDonald's employee in Florida.
The man grabbed her from across the counter by her shirt collar with an argument over STRAWS!
The man noticed there weren't plastic straws near the condiments and he went back over to the counter to berate the employee.
The woman filming Brenda Biandudi told The Washing Post that the employee told the man that she was going off of the new law of not keeping straws in the lobby and he said "there's no such law."
The city voted to ban ban plastic straws by 2020 and it will start "with a grace period in 2019 in which customers must specifically request plastic straws at city businesses."
Once the man grabbed the employee, she started defending herself and another employee stepped in between the two.
The St. Petersburg Police Department tweeted they arrested the man after the video was taken.
He was charged with two counts of simple battery because besides grabbing the woman, he also kicked another employee on his way out.
McDonald's said in a statement:
"We share the community's concern and are taking this disturbing incident very seriously. Our highest priority is always the safety and well-being of everyone in the restaurant, and we do not condone violence of any kind, especially against our employees. We firmly stand with our employees everywhere, including our employees at this restaurant who were involved in this incident.”
