I was chatting to my friend Josh, who has 3 young kids, and since I don't have kids myself, I asked him how he talked to them about what's going on right now. He told me,"Ya, chatting with all of them, but it is a little weird. Being more serious about washing hands needs to have some reasons why, so explaining it is interesting. My 16 year old asked me if I have ever lived through anything like this... gets ya thinking about what their perspective must be..."
I can understand it being a constant challenge to keep your kids clean, and to wash up often. I sure didn't do that as often as I should when I was a kid. And during this time, it's more important than ever. UNICEF has some tips on how to start, and hold this conversation with your kids.
If you're a parent, and have some tips, or some feedback on what has worked for you, share them.
