These restaurants will offer you many choices, sure to satisfy all of your tasty needs. Not only that, but they are located all across the city, so no matter where you are, you can be sure to chow down on the best dishes and treat yourself to various flavors of vegan and vegetarian foods.

1. Erin McKenna's Bakery

Locations

Erin McKenna's Bakery offers a colorful assortment of tasty vegan treats. The bakery has amazing brownies, cookies, cakes, loaves, soft serve, and other options. This location will surely satisfy your sweet tooth while also aiding in not "breaking your diet."

2. by CHLOE. 

Locations

by CHLOE has caught the attention of many people, which is no surprise given the restaurants' variety of foods that are delicious and extremely filling. This establishment has several locations in New York, Boston, and even London. Thankfully, vegans and vegetarians in Los Angeles can enjoy delicious burgers, salads, pasta's, desserts, and drinks in Silverlake!

While the restaurant is not solely vegan or vegetarian foods, many dishes have vegan, vegetarian, and even gluten-free options. 4. Native Foods

Locations

Native Foods does a particularly good job at having a nice selection of cultural dishes. Not simply dishes that can be classified as being from a particular part of the world, but dishes that give you a sense of community such as the Southern-Fried Chicken and Waffles or the Chickpea Tikka Masala.

Recommended dish: Bulgogi Kimchi Tacos. This is a savory dish, so maybe try a saltier side for balance!

5. Café Gratitude

Locations

Café Gratitude is a unique restaurant aside from the fact that it is plant-based; when you order from this location, you can make your order in the form of a positive affirmation. For example, one might start off by expressing, "I am connected," to order some chips and guacamole. Not only does Café Gratitude offer a wide variety of lunch and dinner options, but they also have an impressive selection for breakfast. With locations all across the Los Angeles area, it'll be easy to treat yourself at any time.

6. Gracias Madre

Locations

Gracias Madre is located on Melrose and is another entirely plant-based restaurant specializing in Mexican food. The chefs in the restaurant are native to Mexico and are surely capable of preparing a delicious authentic dish. While the restaurant is, of course, known for their food, Gracias Madre also prepares drinks that are both refreshing and tasty.

7. Azla

Locations

Azla is a completely vegan restaurant serving Ethiopian cuisine! As you may have noticed, many of the restaurants listed specialize in similar types of food, so Azla is the perfect restaurant to try something completely different. When eating there for your first time, the servers recommend making your plate as colorful as possible. By doing so, you are able to experience several incredible textures, spices, and flavors.

8. Shojin

Locations

Shojin is Japanese restaurant catering to vegan and vegetarian diets. Finding good Japanese and Korean food that is vegan/vegetarian can be tough, so this is a good find. You no longer have to live life without ramen, sushi, or orange "chicken." Shojin offers a number of vegan/vegetarian ramens and even have an egg replacement.

These next few locations do not specialize in vegan/vegetarian cuisine but do have options for those living a plant-based life.

Silverlake Ramen Location

Silverlake Ramen offers their dish, "Vegan Ramen," with miso broth that includes bean sprouts, corn, mushroom, tofu, broccoli, baby greens, kale, edamame, and eggplant. 


Slurpin' Ramen Bar Location

Slurpin' Ramen Bar also offers a "Veggie Ramen" made with vegan noodles and lots of veggies! This dish can be served spicy for an extra kick of flavor.
