As Covid case numbers continue to shrink and the number of folks getting vaccinated continues to explode...California theme parks are seemingly excited to welcome people back in person, rushing to get their doors open in time for what's left of Spring Break and for some serious pandemic therapy all summer long.
Universal Studios Hollywood just announced that they will reopen their gates to California residents only, start April 16th. The park will also feature 2 new surprises...a new 'The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash' ride AND a new, fully finished version of the Indominus Rex from “Jurassic World,” which appears on the Jurassic World ride right before the big drop. The creature reportedly spans 55 feet and is over 22 feet tall and awaits guests at the top of the big drop on Jurassic World: The Ride and he is now said to be 'stunningly realistic' and WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE! OF COURSE, the park will be open to a much smaller capacity and all guests must adhere to health and safety protocols, including temperature checks at entry, social distancing and wearing a face covering etc.
Tickets go on sale April 8. Season pass members will get a sneak preview on April 15.
