Talk about MOVING FORWARD!! TraderJoe's is now one of the first major retailers to do this, drop mask requirements for fully vaccinated customers after the updated CDC guidance was announced just yesterday. TJ's announced, TODAY that they are "dropping their mask mandate for fully vaccinated shoppers". "We encourage customers to follow the guidance of health officials, including, as appropriate, CDC guidelines that advise customers who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks while shopping," the company said in a statement.
The CDC announced Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors, except under certain circumstances like in healthcare settings, on public transportation, or in areas where governments require masks. The CDC also said people will still need to follow workplace and local businesses' mask guidance.
It's not known if shoppers will need to show 'proof' of vaccination ala 'flash our cards', so good to have your card on you AND keep a mask on you at all times too. Also no word on EXACTLY when this can go into action...but either way...the END OF MASK WEARING IS NEAR AND LOTS OF US CAAAAAAAAAAAN'T WAAAAAAAAAAIT!🙂
