Delivering Healthy Meals To Thousands Of Sick Angelinos

Project Angel Food cooks and delivers over 500,000 nutritious meals each year, free of charge, to the homes of men, women, and children affected by life-threatening illnesses. Our vital food and nutrition services, including medically tailored meals and nutritional counseling, help underserved people throughout Los Angeles County who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Created in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, we expanded our mission in 2004 to help our neighbors who are struggling with any life-threatening illness burdened by hunger and malnutrition. We deliver more than 11,000 meals every week to people in need.

Project Angel Food prepares and delivers healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness, bringing comfort and hope every day.

A world where every sick person is fed, nourished and loved.

Project Angel Food will host the 28th Annual Angel Awards Gala on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at our headquarters in Hollywood. Long considered one of LA’s most enduring events on the summer social calendar, the entire parking lot and adjacent street is transformed into a stunning outdoor ballroom under the stars. Guests walk the red carpet, enjoy cocktails, silent auction and dinner – created by Los Angeles’ most renowned chefs – live auction and the awards program.

Project Angel Food is proud to announce that longtime supporter and star of NBC’s Will & Grace, Debra Messing, will receive the Founder’s Award at our 28th Annual Angel Awards Gala on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at our headquarters in Hollywood. A caring advocate since 2000, Debra is truly worthy of this recognition. Additionally, entrepreneur and celebrity stylist Chaz Dean will recieve the Corporate Leadership Award for his dedication to our meal delivery program.

The Angel Awards menu will be created and prepared by RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen Executive Chef, Mohan Ismail. A graduate of New York’s French Culinary Institute, Chef Mohan has cooked at the James Beard House in NYC and been featured at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic, Food & Wine Magazine’s Taste of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival and Food Network Channel where he beat renowned chef Bobby Flay on the network’s hit show, “Beat Bobby Flay.”

Angel Awards is Project Angel Food’s premier fundraiser – money raised will go directly towards operating costs, purchasing food, fuel and other essential supplies to cook, package and deliver meals to our most vulnerable neighbors.

We couldn’t do what we do without Angels like you!
