Helping Homeless Teens At Covenant House

Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit youth homeless shelter that provides sanctuary and support for homeless and trafficked youth, ages 18-24. We believe that no young person deserves to be homeless; that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education … and most importantly, to be loved. Now serving over 3,200 youth a year, CHC has served over 190,000 homeless youth since we’ve opened our doors. CHC provides a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence.

OUR MISSION

Covenant House California is dedicated to serving all God’s children, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and to protect and safeguard all youth in need.

DRIVING PHILOSOPHY

We believe that no young person deserves to be homeless; that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education… and most importantly, to be loved. And we believe that it is our responsibility, as a community, to ensure that young people are given the opportunities that they deserve to achieve their dreams.

OPEN DOORS & NON-DISCRIMINATORY

Our doors are open to youth and staff regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

In the last 12 months, nearly 4,000 volunteers donated their time, talent, and a piece of their heart to serve our young people at Covenant House California. These amazing individuals and groups show our young people that there are adults in this world that truly do care for them. By assisting the professional staff and offering essential services to our young people, volunteers play a critical role in Covenant House California’s success. It is only with the support of our community that we can offer so many opportunities for healing and growth to our young people.

What do you love to do? Do you write, cook, dance, play an instrument or sports? Do you have administrative, design or organizational skills? Come share that passion with our young people! We need your help at Covenant House! Please contact us today!
