If you use a Mac computer, you may want to keep this in mind!

Nearly 30,000 Macs have been infected with mysterious malware according to researchers at security firm Red Canary.

As of right now, it's unclear what the malware's goal is. Silver Sparrow, which is what the malware is called does not exhibit the behaviors that they've come to expect from the usual adware that often targets macsOs systems. Silver Sparrow contains a code that runs on Apple's in-house m1 chip that was released back in November. Silver Sparrow has infected Macs in 153 countries as of February 17th.
