After a long year, an announcement was just made by New York Governor that Broadway theaters can reopen with full capacity in September!
The theaters have been closed since March 2020 and at that time there were 31 productions running, some will not be resuming again, but if you have a trip planned or want to see a Broadway show, you now will be able to! The reason for the four month wait is so that tourists who make up an important part of their customer base need to return, producers need time to advertise and market. They also need time to reassemble and rehearse casts who have been out of work.
Things are slowly but surely returning back to normal!
