Newsom Reveals Initiative Where Students Can Get FREE 24/7 Online Tutoring

This week Gov. Gavin Newsom revealed a new initiative for students where they can get free 24/7 online tutoring along with homework help. Students can visit the California's website or any public library websites to get the live help with their homework or get some online tutoring.

"This just really expands the learning opportunity, this is really in line with what we know is effective for students. This is a strategy that supports students' learning, supports acceleration, engages students at a different level, keeping them in school and really connected to learning," Priestly said.

Students can get help with Math, Language Arts and other K-12 core subjects. And get this, the subjects will be available in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog. Having tutoring be available in 6 different languages is so amazing because not everyone is fluent in English. The program also has no age limit and adult learners are able to get help with writing assistance, citizenship resources and other tools. Click here to learn more about the program. ABC 7 has also said that the initiative also includes a $254 million grant to renovate the public libraries across California.
