Southwest Plans Nonstop San Diego Hawaii Flights

In the wake of the tragic accident aboard their Flight 1380 from NYC to Dallas, Southwest Airlines says that its prayers continue to be with Riordon family & all passengers aboard the that harrowing flight. And word has it that tickets sales have been down since that accident & other recent headlines.

In an attempt to move forward, the company has announced its growth plans.  Those plans include their intention to start nonstop flights to four Hawaiian islands--Oahu, Maui, Kauai & the island of Hawaii. Exact dates, routes & prices have not been revealed.  We also don't know if the flights will start this year. But here's what we do know...

Tickets will mostly likely go on sell this year.  San Diego  will be one of the four California cities to get the new nonstop service to Hawaii.  The other Cali cities will be Oakland, San Jose & Sacramento.
