Beef Sold Nationwide Recalled Due To Salmonella
JBS Tolleson-- An Arizona-based meat producer--has recalled 6.5 million pounds of beef after a salmonella outbreak made 57 people in 16 states sick. Receipts and shopper cards from eight patients helped investigators identify the source of the outbreak.
The beef was packaged between July 26th & September 7th and were sold nationwide under brand names Walmart, Cedar River Farms Natural Beef, Showcase, Showcase/Walmart and JBS Generic.
If you bought any of those brands of beef between July 26th and September 7th, please check to see if it has been recalled. The recalled products contain the USDA inspection mark on the packaging with the establishment number "EST. 267."
