Meghan Markle’s Mom Doria Ragland Will Spend Christmas With The Royals
The Queen has reportedly invited Meghan Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, to spend Christmas with the Royal Family. And yes, it's normal to host new in-laws over for the holidays, but this invitation is truly something special because non-royals never celebrate Christmas at Sandringham...So this invite shows just how much the Queen cares about Meghan Markle.
The Royal Family will gather together at Sandringham – the Queen’s country estate in Norfolk – for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Kate Middleton’s family has been invited to sit with the Royal Family at the Christmas morning church service in the past, but prefer to spend the day at their family home in Anmer Hall instead of going to Norfolk for the holidays. Speaking to the Daily Express, a royal source described the Queen’s invitation as a “thoughtful gesture." The source said: “It’s a mark of the Queen’s respect for Meghan and an acknowledgement that she doesn’t have any other relations in this country – unlike Kate who has the support of a very close family.”
So instead of spending Christmas here in SoCal, Doria will join Meghan & the Royal Family for a Christmas Eve dinner. They'll then exchange gag gifts. Then on Christmas day, the family walks over to St. Mary Magdalene for church services. They'll then head home for lunch and enjoy more time together before heading back to their respective homes.
