Soarin' Over California Returns To Disneyland!
If you haven't been to Disneyland yet this month, you may not know that "Soarin' Over California" has returned! The beloved attraction opened again at California Adventure Park on June 1st and will only run through June 30th.
According to the Disney Parks Blog...
This virtual tour celebrates the beauty and wonder of the Golden State—from San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the crashing waves in Malibu. You will be raised high into the air, and surrounded by an immersive, 80-foot projection dome to simulate the graceful motion of flight, while your senses will be teased with iconic scents found throughout California.
I remember when I 1st discovered "Soarin'," it was at Walt Disney World in Orlando. I was there to broadcast from Disney World for the radio station that I was on at the time, Z100 New York. If memory serves correct, the broadcast was in honor of "Soarin' Over California's" debut at Walt Disney World. Because we were broadcasting, we had special access to the park, as well as a guide. So we were able to skip the lines. I was fascinated by how it felt like I was really flying over California! I fell in love with the fact that I could experience it with my eyes & with my senses. My favorite was feeling the breeze as we soared over the Pacific Ocean and smelling the oranges as we soared over the orchards. I was so captivated that I must've gotten in line at least 3 or 4 times in a row...and I would've gotten in line many more times if I had the time. It was exhilarating!
If you love "Soarin' Over California" as much as I do, you'll have to hurry to Disneyland to experience it again before it ends June 30th.
