A Warning Was Sent To Parents About Apps That Are Used To Target Children!

The Texas Center for the Missing has issued a warning for parents when it comes to online safety.

In almost all of their investigations involving child predators, they found that mobile apps are being used to target children

Case Manager with Texas Center for the Missing, Melissa Rangel says that "the most recent messenger app where a lot of kids are being lured off of is the Discord app, which is a gaming messenger app."

There's a total of 14 apps that parents have been warned about to be more aware.

The apps include:

  • Bumble
  • KIK
  • Holla
  • Ask_fm
  • Hot or Not
  • Instagram
  • Burn Book
  • Wishbone
  • YUBO
  • Omegle
  • Calculator%
  • Whisper
  • Live_me
  • Snapchat
