The Santa Ana Winds Are Causing More Power Shutoffs!

Southern California Edison already started shutting off power for thousands of customers and they are in red flag warning areas due to the Santa Ana winds. Now, an extreme red flag warning is in place as gusts of winds could be up to 80mph creating an elevated fire risk. Here's the list below of SoCal Edison cities currently without power:

  • Los Angeles County: Palmdale, Santa Clarita, Canyon Country, Agua Dulce, Acton, Leona, Valley, Lincoln Crest.
  • Ventura County: Santa Paula, Fillmore, Ojai, Moorpark, and Somis.
  • San Bernardino County: Fontana, San Bernardino, and Rancho Cucamonga.
  • Riverside County: Mountain Center and Idyllwild.
  • Kern County: Tehachapi, Bear Valley Springs, and Stallion Springs.

This is the list of cities that are under consideration for power shutoffs:

  • Los Angeles County: Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Palmdale, Malibu, San Fernando, Chatsworth and Santa Clarita.
  • Ventura County: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Ventura and Thousand Oaks.
  • San Bernardino County: Hesperia, Highland, San Bernardino, Calimesa, Crestline, Fontana and Rialto.
  • Riverside County: Banning, Beaumont, Murrieta, San Jacinto, Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs.
  • Orange County: Irvine and Lake Forest.
  • Kern County: Tehachapi.
  • Mono County: Mammoth Lakes.
