USC Is Offering Free Tuition In The Fall!

The University of Southern California just announced their plan to offer free tuition to students whose family income is less than $80,000 a year. USC President Carol L. Folt wants to make the university more accessible to students and revealed two new policies to ensure this happens. The first policy is giving students free tuition for freshmen entering this fall. They also plan to stop calculating home ownership when determining a student's financial need calling it a "break for homeowners." The annual tuition at USC is $57,256 plus student fees, housing, and books. The school also plans on increasing financial aid more than $30 million annually to help assist about one-third of students entering fall 2020 and spring 2021.

Folt says,

"We are committed to increasing USC’s population of innovators, leaders and creators regardless of their financial circumstances. Investing in the talent and diversity of our student body is essential to our educational mission.”
