This Programs Offers Help For Tenants In Anaheim Affected By The Pandemic!

If you live in Anaheim and you're struggling with rent due to the pandemic, you could soon receive some relief that will help provide up to three months rent. Under Anaheim's three-month eviction moratorium The Emergency Rental Assistance Program will give affected tenants up to $2,100 per household to pay deferred rent since April. If you have lost your job or your income has been reduced because of the coronavirus pandemic, you can apply for help online until June 5th and the money will be distributed starting in July. If you qualify for the program, you'll be selected on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. Mayor Harry Sidhu says,

"We know that the needy in our community is great, and there are many who have been struggling to make ends meet. For many who have been impacted by this pandemic, paying rent will be a burden. And not being able to pay will hurt tenants and landlords. As we begin a gradual reopening here in Anaheim, this program will help residents recover and It will put us all on a path of recovery."
