Meet your new special-needs superstar! Ozzy may not be the lead of a mega-famous rock band, but he is a total rockstar. Ozzy is a handsome, super soft and beautifully beige Cocker Spaniel. What makes him extra special? He's blind, but you would never know it! He gets around like a champ and can sniff out treats from miles away. And his hearing? All those rock concerts haven't impaired his floppy ears at all! This fella can hear any command or loving voice assuring him that a cozy home where he can "Bar at the Moon" is in his near future. This 8-year-old little guy is one of Best Friends' special-needs pets who could really benefit from being in a foster or forever home where their personalities can truly blossom.
Ozzy is one of our special-needs dogs who would benefit greatly from a foster or forever home. Best Friends is hosting a special-needs adoption event this weekend (Oct. 13-14) during which adoption fees will be waived for our special-needs dogs and cats. Los Angeles is on the verge of becoming no-kill and it is populations like special-needs pets that need our help the most getting out of the city shelters and into homes. If folks aren't quite ready to adopt, we are highly encouraging fostering to give these extra special guys a break from the shelter setting.
