HOLIDAY BLOOD SHORTAGE
The holiday season is traditionally a time of low blood donations and high Emergency Room visits. Give the gift of life and help us save lives well into the new year!
BLOOD DONOR PROGRAM
The immense support we receive from donors like you helps us meet 90% of our patients' needs for blood transfusions each year at Children's Hospital Los Angeles!
On behalf of our patients, thank you!

- You cannot donate blood or platelets within two weeks of receiving a flu shot.
- You must have no cold and flu symptoms for at least five days before attempting to donate. Symptoms include runny nose, sore throat and a cough.
- If you are taking antibiotics for an infection, finish your prescription. If you are symptom free (see above), please allow at least 48 hours after your last dosage before donating blood or platelets.
