Cookie dough that's safe to eat? Hallelujah!
A new dessert shop in New York City specializes in raw cookie dough. It's appropriately called, Dō. Kristen Tomlan makes chocolate chip cookies the old-fashioned way... except for the part where you put them in the oven.
Both raw eggs and flour can harbor bacteria, which is why it is dangerous to consume raw cookie dough. But Tomlan said her dough is completely safe. She uses a pasteurized egg product and the flour is heat treated.
Sounds good to me!
That is straight up raw, all cookie dough in those ice cream cones people!
