One of the worst things is when you have a Starbucks Iced Coffee and then it eventually gets all watered-down with all the ice.
Well Starbucks is now testing "coffee ice" at 100 stores in Baltimore and St. Louis.
A Starbucks spokesperson says, "Customers can add ice that's been made using Starbucks coffee to any iced espresso or brewed beverage for 80 cents."
The would probably be the best 80 cents you'll ever spend!
I mean watered-down coffee sucks, and this eliminates that problem while making it even stronger.
According to a Reddit user, they substituted ice for coffee ice when making a White Mocha Frappuccino.
The user went on to say, "I'm not a huge Frappuccino fan, but the coffee ice really made it better. The coffee taste was stronger and a lot smoother."
In that same thread, they explained how the cubes are prepped, saying it comes pre-made in a package.
While it sounds incredible, the coffee ice is only being tested for a limited time.
The Starbucks spokesperson says, "We often test new products, programs, and ideas to gather feedback from our customers and partners."
Hopefully, this new Starbucks Coffee Ice will be coming to LA soon!
