Cardi B Show Canceled 30 Minutes Before Showtime Due To 'Security Threat'

Fans at Cardi B's Bankers Life Fieldhouse set in Indianapolis were disappointed when the venue canceled her Tuesday (July 30) show minutes before its start due to a "security threat."

About 30 minutes before showtime, the venue took to Twitter to break the news, noting a September 11 rescheduled date and "additional details will follow." In a statement to Billboard, the rapper’s rep said, "Due to a security threat and safety concerns at this evening's show, management has advised that this show be postponed. These threats are currently under investigation."

If that wasn't enough, Cardi herself shared some insight (and proof) to the whole debacle via her own Twitter account, posting footage of her soundcheck earlier in the day. "Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today," the 26-year-old titan tweeted in the late evening to accompany the video. "I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first."

Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reaffirmed the safety concerns, admitting that officials "were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening’s concert - there is no immediate threat to public safety, this not an active incident."
