Sony Pictures Chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra said that for the moment, the door is closed between Sony and Disney. This means that Spider-Man will not be in the Marvel Universe.

This also means that the actor, Tom Holland who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man won't be in any Marvel movies.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios would also have to step down from any stand alone Spider-Man movies. In the past, he has served as the lead producer of the Marvel Spider-Man movies.

The two sides ended amicably but could not come to an agreement on money. However, the door is not completely closed on negotiations; just closed for now.
