If you think you're getting away with sharing one Netflix password with several people, think again. Officials at the streaming network say they know who you are.

In sharing their quarterly earnings, Netflix officials revealed they have been monitoring passwords that are entered from several locations and they are working on a plan to crack down on nonpaying users. "We continue to monitor password sharing," product chief Greg Peters said. "We’ll continue to look at the situation and we’ll see those consumer friendly ways to push on the edge of that." He declined to elaborate on the "consumer friendly" solutions to the problem.

In spite of the rising number of illegitimate users, Netflix took on an additional 6.77 million paid subscribers in the quarter that ended in September, according to the earnings report.
