Alex Trebek is using his fame to inform people about pancreatic cancer.
The Jeopardy host was diagnosed with the condition in March.
Trebek has filmed a public service announcement to make people aware of the warning signs. In the video, Trebek said, "I wished I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced before my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer.”
Trebek also noted "mid-back pain, unexplained weight loss and the yellowing of the skin or eyes” as other symptoms.
Trebek wants to people to wear purple on November 21st to raise awareness. That day is World Pancreatic Cancer Day.
