Andy Serkis Confirmed As Alfred in “The Batman”

Director Matt Reeves has officially confirmed that Andy Serkis will be playing the role of Alfred the Butler in "The Batman." 

Matt Reeves made the announcement on Twitter with a GIF featuring the actor made famous from his roles in "Black Panther" and "Lord of the Rings."

Recently newcomer Jayme Lawson joined the star studded cast that will be led by Rober Pattinson as the dark knight, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Paul Dano as the Riddler. While Colin Farrell is reportedly in talks to play the role of Penguin.

Matt Reeves' story has been described as character driven with the focus on Batman's experience as the world's greatest detective.

Production for the film begins next year with the movie being scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
