Just two years after Hollywood's last attempt to inject new life into the franchise, the Power Rangers are being rebooted again for a new big screen adventure.

Paramount Pictures has green lit a new film from producer Jonathan Entwistle that will see the titular heroes travel back in time to the 1990s, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The script is currently being written by Patrick Burleigh, who penned "Peter Rabbit 2," THR reports.

The announcement should be good news for Hasbro, which purchased the rights to Power Ranger toys last year for $522 million, considering Lionsgate's 2017 reboot of the superhero squad was a critical and commercial flop.
